    Alexander Ulintz, MD is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.  In addition to practicing as an emergency medicine physician, he has fellowship training in clinical and health services research.  His primary interest is evaluating how emergency medical services (EMS) clinicians and agencies can impact public health outcomes through new models of care, including community paramedicine and mobile integrated health care. Through his research in post-overdose harm reduction & treatment, he seeks to understand how EMS bridges the gap between health systems and communities.  He serves as Vice Chair of the National Association of EMS Physicians’ Mobile Integrated Healthcare committee and Section Councilor of the American Public Health Association’s Injury Control & Emergency Health Services Section.

    Allie Turner is a nursing leader with extensive experience in virtual and hybrid acute-care delivery models, serving as an Enterprise Subject Matter Expert and Nursing Clinical Coordinator for Advocate Health’s Hospital at Home (H@H) program. With a background in critical care and med-surg nursing, Allie has become a key driver in expanding innovative care models that bridge inpatient-level services with home-based, community-embedded support.

    In her current role, Allie is dedicated to team development and patient-centered care, working toward enterprise-wide operational alignment of virtual nursing, navigator teams, and Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) collaborations across multiple markets. Over the past three years, she has collaborated closely with  partners across the care continuum to expand H@H services throughout the Greater Charlotte and Wake markets in North Carolina, as well as into the Midwest region—strengthening continuity, scalability, and innovation in patient care.

    Allie is a member of the American Nurses Association and holds a Stroke Certified Registered Nurse certification. For more than a decade, he has held tactical and operational medicine roles with federal agencies including the U.S. Secret Service, ATF, and the U.S. Marshals Service’s Special Operations Group.     Dr. Brock Daniels completed his M.D. degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 2010, and residency training in Emergency Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 2014. Additionally, Dr. Daniels completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Quality, Safety and Comparative Effectiveness Research with a focus in health informatics at the University of California, Davis Center for Healthcare Policy and Research in 2017. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, and Medical Director of the NewYork Presbyterian (NYP) Community Tele-Paramedicine (CTP) program. CTP is a mobile integrated health program that combine community paramedic home visits with telehealth encounters by emergency physicians and proactive care coordination by dedicated nurse care managers. CTP has conducted over 6000 home visits for many of NYP’s most medically complex and socially vulnerable patient populations living with chronic illness. Dr. Daniels has led several MIH-focused research studies funded by NYP, the Emergency Medicine Foundation, National Institute on Aging and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute including a randomized trial of MIH among 2,000 patients with heart failure recruited from 11 hospitals across New York City.

    Christopher Goenner is a seasoned public safety professional with over 33 years of experience spanning fire services, law enforcement, and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Originally from Pennsylvania, Chris began his career as a volunteer firefighter, EMT, and law enforcement officer, serving a decade in full-time law enforcement before transitioning fully into EMS. After relocating to North Carolina in 2007, he earned both state and national paramedic certifications and pursued advanced education, completing an AAS in EMS, a BS in Emergency and Disaster Management, and an MS in Health Sciences with a concentration in EMS Education.

    Chris has served as a field training officer at Cabarrus County EMS and held academic leadership roles, including Department Chair of Emergency Medical Sciences at Central Piedmont Community College. He currently serves as Program Chair and Associate Professor for the Bachelor of Science in Community Paramedicine at Cabarrus College of Health Sciences. A frequent presenter at EMS conferences nationwide, Chris has been recognized for his award-winning research on End-Tidal CO₂ in septic patients.     Darlene is the President and Founder of the Danny’s Dose Alliance, an organization dedicated to improving and ensuring proper emergency care for individuals with rare and chronic conditions requiring specialized treatment.

     Her advocacy began 14 years ago following an unexpected family diagnosis of hemophilia, which inspired her deep involvement and leadership within the rare and chronic disease community. Through this work, Darlene has gained valuable insight into the challenges families face; limited access to appropriate care, misinformation, and a lack of education, along with the need for greater awareness of available federal, state, and local resources.

     Darlene’s commitment to improving emergency care has led to advisory roles with EMS for Children and the Pediatric Pandemic Network (PPN) plus others. Partnering with state and national EMS associations, she organized the first Rare and Chronic Care Taskforce, dedicated to developing nationally recognized, disease-specific Emergency Treatment Guidelines.

     

    Her leadership has resulted in EMS legislation in Missouri, Minnesota, and Arkansas, as well as Scope of Practice updates in 17 additional states with ongoing advocacy toward achieving these improvements nationwide. Darlene works tirelessly to protect, support, educate, and empower emergency personnel, patients, and families across the United States.

    Dr. Eric Yazel graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Biology, followed by a M.A. in Clinical Physiology from Ball State University. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Louisville and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine there as well, serving as Chief Resident. Over the years he has been medical director for numerous EMS services in the Kentuckiana area, both urban and rural in nature. He currently serves as the EMS Medical Director for the State of Indiana. In addition, he also holds positions as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville, Attending Physician at Norton Clark Emergency Department, Clark County Health Officer, Chief Medical Officer for LifeSpring Health Systems, and Chief Tactical Physician for the Jeffersonville Police Department.

    Dr. Penni Eggers is an accomplished EMS leader, educator, and paramedic with over two decades of experience across clinical practice, higher education, and fire-based EMS operations. She currently serves as Director of Education and Assistant Professor at the Florida Center for EMS, where she develops statewide EMS training curricula, including MIH education, and supports new program accreditation, and advances workforce development and resiliency initiatives.

    Her prior roles include Simulation Manager for HCA West Central Florida, EMS Educator for Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue, and EMS Coordinator at St. Petersburg College. She also served as a Firefighter/Paramedic for more than 15 years and Executive Director of the West Central Florida CISM team for two decades.

    Dr. Eggers holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University, a Master’s in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Tampa, and a bachelor’s in psychology from Saint Leo University. She is a State of Florida Paramedic, Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator, and EMS Instructor, with numerous advanced certifications including ACLS, PHTLS, and EPC.

With over 25 years of experience in emergency medical services, Manny has served in diverse settings from frontline emergency response and trauma care to community based paramedicine and clinical education. His leadership extends across prehospital operations, clinical instruction, and special operations medicine, where he has trained paramedics, nurses, medical students, residents, and federal agents.

    A former firefighter/paramedic and U.S. Army Reservist combat medic, Manny brings a deep commitment to servant leadership, patient advocacy, and high reliability healthcare systems. His passion for education and compassionate care drives his mission to “love your neighbor one patient at a time,” aligning clinical excellence with empathy and human connection.

    Dr. Berg has a significant background in mobile integrated healthcare (MIH). Previously, he served as the Chief of Emergency Medicine at Medically Home, where he developed MIH-based programs to deliver acute care services to patients with complex health issues and an MIH-oriented educational program focused on the assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic skills required in the model. Before that, he was the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Boston Medical Center and an Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Medicine. There, he managed clinical operations in the adult Emergency Department and fast-track areas, collaborating with instED to reduce hospital admissions through in-home MIH services.

She began her medical career as a newly minted EMT in the hospital’s ambulance department, where she first realized her passion for helping people. She worked as a Supervisor in the Ambulance Services Department for several years but felt like she was missing something while in that role. Thanks to the tremendous success of the Community Paramedic program, the Heart Failure Clinic received a grant to hire a second medic in the summer of 2024. In October 2024, Kristin became Spartanburg Regional Heart Failure Clinic’s second Community Paramedic, primarily serving rural populations. She quickly realized this was her niche and has spent her time there advocating for her patients and assisting them in overcoming barriers they face in their daily lives. He transitioned into a full-time roll at Ambulance Services approximately 6 months later. He served in a Crew Chief role in Ambulance Services, and as a Senior Paramedic for 10 years working third shift. While working in the hospital setting, he started to realize there was something missing and desired to have more of an impact in his role as a paramedic. As the success of the Community Paramedic program grew at SRHS, he realized this was the setting where he desired to contribute. In July of 2025 a decision was made to hire a third community paramedic for the Community Paramedic Program at SRHS Heart Failure Clinic.     For the last two and a half years, Dr Shanks has led the medical team at Community Health, a mobile integrated health program in Manatee County.  She and her team work together in street medicine, addiction medicine and address many the social determinates and health needs of the underserved population.

    Trisha Rademachir serves as a Community EMT with the City of Bloomington’s Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) Program, where she provides gap care to underserved populations and helps bridge barriers between patients and the healthcare system. Her compassion for community health is matched by her skill as the team’s grant writer, working diligently to equip the MIH team with resources that enhance care and create lasting impact.

    Trisha’s journey into MIH began while preparing to lecture on the topic, where she discovered a deep calling to serve her community beyond the classroom. A chance conversation led her to the program, a role she now calls a privilege, working alongside some of the most dedicated professionals in the field.

    Trisha holds Associate Degrees in Homeland Security and General Studies and is a Nationally Registered EMT, Primary Instructor, and certified Community Health Worker. She is Perinatal Mental Health Certified and has completed advanced training in Chronic Care, Opioid-Informed Family Support, and Domestic Violence.

    In 2024, Trisha was honored as the Indiana EMS Specialty Care Provider of the Year by the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association.
